Grammy & Papa's House

Tonight, the kids and I went over to my parents' house for dinner.
(Tyler works a sucky shift, so he normally misses out on family dinners)
We had a really good time.
We had oven fried chicken, mashed "beetatoes", as Tanner says, and carrots! Normally I cannot get Tanner to eat meat. But by golly if his Grandpa is eating it and it has a bone in it, he is ALL for it!

It was funny because as I am sitting there watching my kids it occurs to me how big they are getting. For instance, Teegan who normally would devour mashed potatoes before anything else is actually eating her carrots first. Also the majority of her food normally ends up in her hair, and tonight we just about ended dinner with clean hair. Not to mention working on words while she is smiling and being the cutest little girl on the planet!
Tanner is all about the chicken tonight! I happen to be pretty excited about that considering how hard it normally is to get him to eat. He is carrying on conversations with his Papa like no one else is there. It was so funny to watch! Especially when my dad is trying to tell me the recipe and directions to make the oven fried chicken and Tanner thinks Papa is telling him. It was like he was taking mental notes on how to prepare the chicken. It was pretty funny!

My kids say some pretty clever things. I am sure they get them from me! :)

Tonight Tanner told his Papa, "Don't even think about it!" -hilarious!

I really enjoy seeing their interactions with other people because it makes me so much more aware of the beautiful and smart little people they are. It makes my heart all big and happy. One thing I really pride myself on is that they know all of their family members. They always give kisses and hugs goodbye and always say "I love you!"

What are some of the things that your kids do to make your heart all big and happy?
